Roster, Mission, Vision & Meetings
Community Based Members
In order to maximize the experience of students, WNYSLC has established relationships with a significant number of community-based agencies. Each agency offers a valuable experience for students that complements their educational experience in the classroom.
WNYSLC Faculty Fellows
The WNYSLC Faculty Fellowship program is based on a model developed by the Volunteer and Service-Learning Center at Buffalo State College. The intensive training features nationally recognized practitioners in service-learning who will provide participants with the foundational knowledge needed to understand the theory and practice of service-learning.
The Fellowship program provides instruction to help faculty members facilitate their students' diverse experiences and includes a tour of a neighborhood and community organizations. Fellows will also have the opportunity to meet a number of community partners and discuss their potential courses and project ideas. Institutional meetings allow Fellows to meet with a service-learning coordinator or administrator from their home institution to discuss specific questions and logistics.
